Privacy Policy, Decode This Job
Effective June 16, 2026
Decode This Job is a free tool from Baldwin Blueprint. It reads the text of a job posting and shows you what the company is really asking for. This policy explains exactly what the browser extension does with your data.
Single purpose
The extension has one job: when you ask it to, it reads the job posting on the page you are looking at and shows you a decode of it. That is the only thing it does.
What the extension reads
This extension reads the text of a job posting ONLY when you click Decode this posting, or when you paste one into the popup. It never reads anything until you act.
What it sends, and why
That posting text is sent to baldwinblueprint.com solely to generate your decode. We do not sell your data, we do not serve ads, and we do not collect your browsing history or your profile.
What we keep
The decode result may be cached briefly in your browser session so switching back to a job does not re run the read. If you choose to save a decode by email, we keep only your email and the decode on file, never the full job description. If you choose to share a decode by link, we keep only the decode itself under a short random id, never the full job description, never the source link, and never your email.
Permissions in plain words
- activeTab and scripting: read the open tab, and only when you click. We do not run in the background.
- storage: cache your last decode in this browser session so the tool feels instant.
- host access: limited to linkedin.com, indeed.com, and baldwinblueprint.com.
We do not request access to all sites, we do not read your tabs or history, we do not use cookies for tracking, we do not use webRequest, and we run no remotely hosted code.
Limited use
Our use of information received from the extension adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We use the data only to provide and improve the decode feature you asked for, and for nothing else.
